SSO

How do I enable Single Sign-On (SSO) for my website?

SSO enables users to login to your website leveraging the credentials to systems they already use.

If your organization uses Google, Microsoft, Clever, Classlink or GG4L, you can set up Single Sign-On for your users to login to the website using those credentials. login authorization via your account. This makes it so you don't have to remember yet another set of credentials to log in to your website. View the video below for an overview.

How do I add and use SSO authentication on my website?

In all cases, your organizations website administrator must send SchoolNow the list of approved website publishers (along with the access they should have to the proper areas of the website.) Once this is set up, your users can login using any of the SSO options your administrator allows.

Google

After your account is provisioned in SchoolNow, Google users can sign-in using their Google account. Users will be asked to accept the policies the first time they go through the login process.

Microsoft

After your account is provisioned in SchoolNow, Microsoft users can sign-in using their Microsoft 365 account. Users will be asked to accept the policies the first time they go through the login process.

Clever

We do not yet support auto-sync provisioning via Clever. However, after your account is provisioned in SchoolNow, Clever users can sign-in using their Clever account if the website administrator has allowed that SSO option.

Classlink

We do not yet support auto-sync provisioning via Classlink. However, after your account is provisioned in SchoolNow, Classlink users can sign-in using their Classlink account if the website administrator has allowed that SSO option.

GG4L

We do currently support auto-provisioning via GG4L. Administrators still need to provide us with a list of publishers along with their website permissions so that when the accounts are auto-synced over from GG4L, they are already set up for editing. The email address must match the address coming over from GG4L. Contact support with any questions or to let us assist you in getting set up in GG4L.

Users will be able to login to SchoolNow using the methods set up by the organizations website administrator. Our support team is always ready to assist. Just reach out to us if you need assistance.
